Professional Mentoring for Women in Science and Technology

Program Goal:

To provide sixteen women from the Middle East and North Africa, in the professional fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics with an eight week fellowship at the University of Michigan-Dearborn (UM-Dearborn). This program will enhance their technical skills and familiarize them with operations at a research university and U.S. industry. The long-term goal is to establish a sustainable network of relationships not only between the women and their American mentors, but also among the participants. |

To be eligible to participate in this program, you must be:
- Between the age of 22 and 35
- Fluent in English
- From one of the following eligible countries: Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, United Arab Emirates, West Bank/Gaza, and Yemen
- A college graduate (bachelor’s degree minimum) with a background and interest in one of the following research focus areas:

Expenses Paid: |
UM-Dearborn will pay for participant travel, room and board and local transportation |
